ProteinValue is responsible for processing the app's data.

Account: email, user identifier, name and avatar when you sign in with an external provider.

App usage: food, intakes, recipes, shopping list, goals, weight, fasting, social privacy, followers and followed users.

Camera and images: the camera is used to scan barcodes and estimate food from a photo when you request it.

AI: when you use photo or text estimation, we send the image or description through Vercel AI Gateway and compatible model providers to generate a nutritional estimate.

Technical data: session cookies, error logs, AI request metrics, usage limits and idempotency identifiers.

We provide the core features: nutritional logging, protein-to-cost comparisons, goals, statistics, fasting, recipes, scanning and the social feed.

We protect accounts, prevent abuse, apply AI usage limits and diagnose errors.

We do not sell your personal data.

We process the data required to provide the service you request when you create and use your account.

We process technical data under our legitimate interest in security, abuse prevention and service improvement.

Optional features such as camera, photo and AI are activated only when you choose to use them.

Supabase: authentication, database and operational storage for the service.

Vercel AI Gateway and compatible model providers: processing descriptions and images for nutritional estimates.

Open Food Facts: public lookup of scanned products and nutritional data.

We retain your data while you keep your account or until you delete it.

Photos sent to AI are not stored as files in our database. We retain technical metrics, input hashes and responses required for idempotency, usage limits and diagnostics.

You can export your data from the app.

You can delete your account from the app or the public deletion page.

You can also email support@soumysoft.com to request access, correction, export or deletion.

ProteinValue is not intended for children under 13.

The app does not replace medical or nutritional advice or professional diagnosis. AI estimates may be inaccurate.
